RFD - Greater Rockford Airport. We're southbound to the left of the north-south runway (runway 1/19) after breaking off the ILS approach. You can see that the beginning of runways 19 and 25 are under construction. Runway 1/19 was actually closed, but lucky for us the ILS was still operational.

This is a quarry of some kind. It looks small from the air, but the size of the cars on the expressway gives you some idea of scale. I'm pretty sure that the trucks you see in the quarry itself are the very large earth-moving dumptrucks... the kind you basically need a ladder to get into.
